Re-scheduled Event: "What's Next?" Now set for February 14

The Dignity for All event titled "What's Next? How to Address Poverty in Canada" has now been rescheduled for the evening of February 14th, 2012.  Following a last minute vote in the House of Commons, the event was moved from December 5th so as to ensure our panel of MPs was able to attend. 

Letter to the Council of the Federation in regards to the CST & CHT renewal

The following is a letter sent on behalf of the Dignity for All campaign on January 6th to BC Premier Christy Clark (hosting Premier) in regards to the upcoming Council of the Federation meeting on January 16-17 that will look at the renewal of the CST and CHT.

Year In Review

It has now been over two and half years since Dignity for All: The Campaign for a Poverty-Free Canada was launched at the Canadian Social Forum in Calgary. In that time, the campaign has grown significantly in both recognition and the number of supporters. Dignity for All now has 555 organizational endorsers and over 8,960 individual supporters.

Report card on child and family poverty in Canada

Last month, Dignity for All  partner Campaign 2000 released its 20th report card on child and family poverty in Canada. While their findings are alarming, they point out that progress is possible when governments, employers, the community sector and citizens work together to end poverty.
