Campaign Members Submit Suggestions for the next Federal Budget

In preparation for the next budget set to be released in 2013, the federal government's Finance Committee called for submissions from civil society to help set the direction.  As part of this annual process organizations are able to respond to questions posed by the Committee and make suggestions as to what should be included in the next budget.   This years categories were:

1. Economic Recovery Growth

2. Job Creation

3. Demographic Change

4. Productivity

(For more detail on these categories see the Finance Committee's press release)

The Dignity for All campaign firmly believes that addressing poverty will contribute to greater economic prosperity and that the costs of maintaining the status quo are detriments to both human and financial health.  Considering this, see the submissions below sent by campaign members to the Committee:

Canada Without Poverty

Canadian Association of Social Workers

Canadian Labour Congress

Canadian Nurses Association

Citizens for Public Justice

Announcements of which organizations are chosen to present their submission will be made in the fall.
